We recommend that you fly into Rome as it is the closest major city to Spoleto and our venue (about 1.5-2 hours).

If you plan on arriving a few days before the wedding, you can take some time to explore Rome or make your way straight to Umbria. Choose your own adventure!

If you do decide to stay in Rome before the wedding festivities, you can take a rental car, train or shuttle from the airport to the city center. Just know that if you rent a car and drive into Rome, parking in the city can be tough. You would want to find a parking garage close to where you are staying or if you manage to find a hotel with a parking lot, book it!

If you don’t want a car while you’re in Rome, but would like one to get to Spoleto, you can always pick one up at a car rental service in the city center.

Spoleto, a small Umbrian city rich in ancient and medieval history, will be the backdrop to our wedding week.

To get from Rome to Spoleto, we advise that you either rent a car and drive (2 hours) or book a direct train (1.5 hours).

If you drive, you will have easier access getting around, and all of the accommodation options we have suggested offer parking of some kind.

If you decide to take the train, you will need to get a taxi from the station to your hotel when you arrive. Spoleto is a small city, so once you arrive, everything is within reasonable walking distance.

Our wedding venue, Villa Pianciani, is located up in the hills above Spoleto. It is a 15 minute drive from the city.

We will be organizing shuttles to and from the welcome drinks in town on the first night for those staying at or near the Villa. If you are staying in a hotel in the city, you will be within a 5-10 minute walk to the restaurant.

On the wedding day, shuttles will be organized to pick up and drop back off guests staying at hotels in Spoleto and those staying at the agriturismo near the Villa.
